What we are looking for:

Capital Empire is looking for an experienced and talented Promotional Events Manager to lead our new business segment of live promotional events. Our ideal candidate would have several years of planning and managing live promotional/marketing events for clients in various industries, have great leadership and people management skills and possess the ability to build and run a new department within our organization.


Between $87,000 - $92,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience


Benefits packaged to be offered to qualified candidates. Terms of Employment: At least 40 hours per week and more if required Travelling: Working at event locations for up to 90% of the time

Employment requirements:

  • At a minimum a Bachelor's or equivalent qualification in marketing/communications/business administration or a related field
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and at least 6 years of managerial experience in marketing or related fields.
  • Several years of planning and managing live promotional events is a must
  • Excellent communication skills (must be fluent in English)

    Job Duties:

    Take charge of assembling a new team of employees for our Events department. The team members will report directly to you.

  • Work with senior managers to define responsibilities and positions within the new Events department
  • Create job descriptions for each position within the department
  • Take active role in the hiring process to recruit capable employees
  • Provide initial on-boarding and training to each employee
  • Create personal goals for each team member and develop a progress monitoring and reporting process

    In charge of planning, organizing and managing exhibitions, trade shows, conventions booths, seminars and other promotional events for our clients

  • Take central role in initial client engagement and proposals
  • Prepare effective initial presentation to clients about proposed events
  • Develop initial budgets for clients and confidently present them. Clearly anticipated required resources and timing.
  • Plan for various issues and things “going wrong”
  • Assign specific responsibilities to your team members and prepare them for flawless execution
  • Collaborate with marketing team on developing campaigns to promote client events
  • Meet with client’s employees to collaborate on event participation

    Be personally responsible for managing the events:

  • Manage coordination of the required event components, such as facilities, transportation, space design, signage, catering, displays, security, registration, compliance with rules, etc.
  • Be personally present at each event to oversee every task and activity. Resolve issues on the spot, continuously communicate with client’s representatives.
  • Hire contractors and temporary staff, if required.
  • Personally review and approve every event-related invoice and monitor progress against the approved budget.

    Report on each event performance to senior management.
